Sunday was a long and tiring day for the Team at City Pro DJ. Not only were we out Saturday night with a DJ in Edmonton Garrison, a Tag-Team at Chateau Nova and Kevin handling the video for the Western Canada Fashion Week at the Transalta Arts Barns- we also had to prepare for BRIDAL CONFERENCE on Sunday.

Just about every good Edmonton DJ was represented there, including City Pro DJ. We met many excited Brides-to-be and their close friends and families. The pace of this event is much more relaxed than Bridal Fantasy- you're not as rushed, and there were special breakout sessions in a smaller ballroom where you could get up and personal with the presenter.

City Pro was presenting Author, Master of Ceremonies and Superstar DJ PETER MERRY and his workshop from his book, "The Best Wedding Reception....EVER!" And because another presenter cancelled her appearance at the last minute we were able showcase Peter to a second group of lucky Brides.

I think the message was clear- Edmonton DJ services are going to have to go back to school and learn the PETER MERRY way of Emcee'ing weddings! Peter has so many great ideas that make you laugh, cry and even shock you, it's hard not to get excited to plan your wedding!

August 27, 2011 was a very busy day for www.facebooth.ca . One event we were hired for was NAIT's GEAR UP! 2011. We provided some fun for students new to NAIT (and some returning, too!). Nearly 1000 students and families walked the Halls at NAIT and almost everyone of them stopped by FACE BOOTH to have their pictures taken!

EDMOTON DJ City Pro Entertainment has been asked to once again lend a musical hand to the Edmonton chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Ride For The Cure coming up September 14th, 2011 in Churchill Square. Last year JDRF and the 94 5-member corporate teams helped raise over $124,000 for Diabetes Research.

Edmonton DJ City Pro Entertainment is proud to participate by providing high-energy and motivational music to the teams as they ride to a cure!

With Edmonton Wedding Photo Booths we get to rent our Photo Booth at many different facilities for many different families. On July 31, 2011 City Pro Entertainment was asked to provide our services for Preet and Dal's wedding reception.

The Meridian Banquet Center is located on 4820-76 Ave and holds up to 800 guests. Preet and Dal had the whole place to themselves and the hall was expertly decorated.

FACE BOOTH PHOTO BOOTHS TO GO! Took almost 900 pictures and did nearly 100 re-prints for some of the large groups that took advantage of our huge 20+ seating capacity. The families also got pretty crazy with the "Disguises" we provided- almost every picture had guests donning hats, wigs, boas and crazy hats.

We're honoured to have been asked to be at Preet and Dal's Wedding Reception. The hundreds of Photos taken and shared will be around for a lifetime!

The City Pro Entertainment/ FACE BOOTH Team

Edmonton DJ Joe Luce and Co Owner of City Pro Entertainment went on an adventure to do a Wedding at the Lakeland Inn in Cold Lake, Alberta this past weekend. Joe's day started by getting up at 7:00 Am to drive 295 Km's to setup for a wedding ceremony for Tyler & Bri. Then to Setup for the Party for that evening. The Couple booked on a recommendation from a family friends' wedding and the wedding cordinator / Decorator had seen Joe perform four years ago. Well, Bride & Groom were amazing people! They had such a wonderful attitude and set the pace on how they wanted thier party. They lloked after Joe by  providing a much needed hotel room after working till 3:00 AM that night. What a night! Congratulations Tyler and Bri... City Pro's wish for you both is the best in life together and look forward to seeing you in the future at other events.

So this past Saturday, EDMONTON DJ KEVIN KIROUAC, was invited to provide our DJ and Photo Booth services for Tammy and Carl's Wedding. This is a unique facility in the heart of an industrial park just south of Edmonton. Looks were deceiving- this place also has raquetball courts, a full weight gym with showers plus a lunchtime restaurant for those hard working Nisku workers.

The place was actually great. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing. And on hot summer days it even has air conditioning.

Tammy and Carl were married right in the back yard of the NISKU REC CENTER HALL. There's a large concrete pad and the property is surrounded with tall mature trees. It was a perfect backdrop.

The guests were ready to party when the music started and they kept the dance floor busy right to the very end. This  Edmonton DJ will definitely recommend the Nisku Rec Center to couples looking for a full-service hall in Edmonton's deep south.
